LEARN ABOUT WORKING WHILE RVing
Workamper News is holding job fairs during the Florida RV SuperShow at
the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, January 16-20 and at the Mesa
Centennial Center, Sheraton-Phoenix East Hotel, in Mesa, Arizona on
Jan 30-31. The job fairs will match up RVing job seekers with nearly 50
employers from across America. Thousands of part- and full-time
workamping jobs will be up for grabs. Workampers are persons who
combine any type of working with RV camping. Most employers provide
a full-hookup site, wages and other amenities as part of the workamper
agreement. Workampers do not need to pre-register for the job fairs,
however information and a complete list of participating employers and
information on campsite availability within the Florida fairgrounds are
available at http://www.workamper.com/jobfair. Campsites are not
available on site at Mesa but there are many RV parks in the area.

RV JOKE
An RVer named Ray travels in his motorhome with a talkative but
foul-mouthed parrot. One day in a campground outside Philadelphia, the
bird's swearing got to be too much. So Ray grabbed it by the throat and
yelled "Stop it!" But only minutes later, the bird was swearing again.

The next day, the bird yelled so loudly that the couple next door in a big
fifth wheel stopped by to demand its silence. Desperate, Ray locked the
bird in a kitchen cabinet. But it didn't help: the bird kept right on swearing.
The next day, the bird was even worse. So, as a last resort, Ray tossed it
into his Dometic refrigerator. After five minutes, all was quiet. Worried
the bird might be freezing to death, Ray took it out. "I'm sorry," said the
suddenly-polite bird. "I promise to never swear again."

Ray was astonished. He couldn't understand the change in attitude.

"By the way," asked the parrot, "what did the chicken do?"

DUMP! BUT WHERE?
When your rig's holding tanks are filled to the brim, there's only one

station to get the job done. Alas, finding one of these handy depositories
isn't always easy. But here's a web site that will point you in the right
direction: http://www.fulltiming-america.com/rvdump/index.html

Nearly Useless Trivia
BAT BOMBS
During World War II, the United States experimented with bat bombs.
The idea was that incendiary devices would be attached to bats, which
would then be released in Japan where they would roost and later blow
up, igniting fires. It's been suggested that this might be a good idea for
the present war in Afganistan, where the bad guys are holing up in
places bats love -- caves! Read more at
http://home.nycap.rr.com/useless/batbombs/index.html
