The 2003 Quartzsite RV Show.

2004 Quartzsite RV show date announced

(August 6, 2003) — RV snowbirds are marking their calendars for the 2004 RV show schedule in Quartzsite, Arizona. This tiny desert hamlet bursts at the seams each winter when countless thousands of RVers converge on the small town and the wide open public lands that surround it for big rock and mineral shows and wall-to-wall swap meets and flea markets.

One of the largest and most popular venues each year is the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV Show that takes place in the 45,000-square-foot, "Big Tent, just south of Interstate 10 on State Highway 95. The dates for the 21st Annual Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Show are January 17 through January 25.

There is no charge for admission or parking at this huge show that now ranks as one of the largest consumer RV events in the country. The attendance for the 2003 show was estimated at well over 150,000 and the numerous RV related exhibits included the "Who's Who" of the RV Industry. There were several hundred new and used RVs on display along with a dozen service bays offering immediate installation, repairs and service on many of the items that were exhibited at the show.

The RV show's promoters expect the 2004 event to be even larger than last year's.

Quartzsite is one of the most popular wintering areas for sun-seeking RVers. Tens of thousands spend some or even all of the winter in Quartzsite RV parks or, even more often, on adjacent public lands where they can stay in Bureau of Land Management Long Term Visitor Areas for up to seven months for a seasonal fee of $125. Short term RV camping of two weeks or less is free in other areas, some within walking distance of the small town, where all essential services are available.
